CloseThough we consider 'Guacamole' Plantain Lily a mid-sized hosta, the average size of hosta leaves are often much larger than other broadleaf plants. This variety can reach 24 inches in height and spread up to four feet wide, and that is due in part to the size of the leaves. Guacamole-colored leaves average 11 inches long and eight inches wide, with darker edges adding a bit of drama. 'Guacamole' hosta's flowers are exceptionally fragrant, often standing three feet tall, so hummingbirds are sure to spot these summer blooms.
