CloseThere are so many different varieties of coral bells of similar color, it's often difficult to identify a particular heuchera one has in the garden if the label is missing. 'Magma' coral bells may be the exception, with a much larger presence than most other varieties, distinguished by broad, lobed reddish-purple leaves that can form a mound over two feet tall and almost three feet wide. Well-suited for sun or partially sunny locations, 'Magma' can be a focal point in borders, large containers, or in mass plantings. Pink flowers will attract hummingbirds and bees throughout the summer, but deer allegedly show no interest (unless really hungry).
