Grown more for its foliage than flowers, 'Emerald Gem' Hebe is a compact, easy-to-care-for evergreen shrub, suitable for rock gardens, container planters, hanging baskets, and borders. Small, pointed, glossy green leaves line upright stems, forming a tidy, rounded mound 12 to 24 inches tall and wide. 'Emerald Gem' may produce white flowers in the summer, though it isn't a heavy bloomer. When they do appear, so will the bees and hummingbirds!
