Anytime we can bring 'Amy' hebe into the nursery, it tends to leave pretty quickly. New growth emerges a deep purple that grabs the eye, and matures into a shiny deep green. This variety usually grows into a rounded shrub, three to four feet tall and wide. Hardy to 10 degrees, 'Amy' may look worse for wear after a cold winter, needing a light trim before new growth emerges in the spring.
