CloseThis wood spurge well deserves the name 'Ruby Glow,' as new growth emerges a rich red, maturing into a deeper wine color mixed with green for year-round interest. Springtime brings out yellow flowers surrounded by chartreuse bracts, attracting hummingbirds and bees. 'Ruby Glow' has a lower profile, growing up to 18 inches tall and about two feet wide. Lovely in fall/winter baskets and container planters, this spurge will also add color and texture to sunny borders. Wear gloves when pruning back the spent flower stems as the sap may be irritating to the skin. Chewing pets should be kept away from all euphorbias to safeguard their health.
