Dark purple buds erupt into golden-yellow blooms from mid-spring into summer. These blooms could be a metaphor for the change from dark winter to spring.

So many of the early spring flowers are fragrant, and 'Fragrant Sunshine' wallflower is no exception. The sunny yellow flowers emerge from chocolate purple buds and will attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Deadheading the spent blooms will prolong the bloom period from mid-spring into the summer. This variety is a bit more compact than other wallflowers, forming a small dense shrub that will remain tidy if you give it a light shearing after the blooms are finished.
