CloseComing from the Mediterranean region, Alpine Geraniums thrive in well-draining soil and full sun. Similar to its Cranesbill cousins, this variety of erodium will form small dense mounds of dark green scalloped leaves, usually two to four inches tall and over time, up to eight inches wide. Use this cute semi-evergreen ground cover on the edge of hanging baskets and container planters, along borders and walkways, or between pavers and stepping stones, as it can handle light foot traffic. Single- and double-petaled pink flowers will bloom from late spring throughout the summer, making this erodium a bit of a rockstar.
