CloseThe Kismet series of coneflowers are on the shorter side for echinacea (about 16" tall) but make up for height with their prolific, long-lasting blooms, even in the first year. 'Kismet Yellow' is a cheery spot in the garden, with a crown of daisy-like, butter-yellow flowers that gradually develop the characteristic cone as the flowers mature. Blooms remain fresh on the plant for weeks, and are of course, fabulous cut flowers. This upright perennial handles the sunniest of locations, making it an excellent choice for rock gardens, and is equally attractive in container planters, cut-flower gardens, and even hanging baskets. 'Kismet Yellow' will keep on flowering right up until frost. Leave the spent flowers on the plant, as birds love the seeds.
