This echeveria forms compact rosettes of blue-gray leaves that curve up and inward. Long arching stems bearing yellow/orange blooms may appear in late summer.

CloseEcheverias don't do well in our Pacific NW winters (too wet, too cold, too dark), but they make fabulous year-round indoor plants. 'Topsy-Turvy' grows the opposite of the tough Hen and Chicks, with its blue-gray leaves curving up and inwards (rather than fanning out), and are more rounded than pointed. Plump, stemless rosettes can grow from eight to 12 inches tall and wide and may send up long arching stems with yellow to orange flowers in late summer to fall. Pair with other succulents in an indoor planter, but give it room, as it will eventually send out offsets. Water deeply but infrequently, give 'Topsy-Turvy' lots of indirect light, and you'll have a spectacular indoor year-round specimen.
