Twinspur blooms most prolifically in full sun but at lower temps, so don't be surprised if this diascia puts out a burst of blooms in the fall.

CloseTwinspur is an often overlooked summer annual, perhaps because of its daintier profile. This is unfortunate because the upright stalks of 'My Darling Berry' diascia's bright pink, snapdragon-like flowers are perfect for adding color and texture to those otherwise empty spots in hanging baskets, container planters, and along garden borders. Diascia thrives in the full sun but doesn't perform well in extremely hot weather, so consider growing this in a planter that can be moved to a spot with late afternoon shade when the temps exceed 85 degrees for an extended period of time. Though grown as an annual in the Pacific NW, diascia may make a surprise reappearance the following spring following mild winters.
