The Fernspray Gold Cypress gets its name from its slightly arching, flattened branches that come to a nice point, just as fern fronds do. This evergreen shrub can tolerate full sun to part shade, but the more sun you give it, the more golden it becomes. This generally pyramidal but irregularly shaped Hinoki Cypress is eye-catching in planters and can remain there for years. Hitting 6 feet tall around the ten year mark, it is equally beautiful as a specimen in the garden.
