CloseUntil recently, Orbifolia Prayer Plant has been classified as a member of the calathea family, but it's been renamed Geoppertia orbifolia. Whatever you call it, we've got it in the nursery! Like all calatheas, Orbifolia likes as much indirect light as you can give it, higher humidity (mist daily or place the pot on a saucer filled with pebbles and water), and thorough watering when the top inch of soil is dry. This particular variety looks very similar to more common prayer plants, but the individual leaves can grow to dinner plate size. At maturity (possibly 10 years' time?), Orbifolia Prayer Plant can reach three feet in height and width. While calatheas are pet-friendly, teeth marks would really ruin this gorgeous plant's good looks.
