Begonias seem to lend a whole new level of intense color to the summer shade garden, and 'Vermillion Red' is in a class of its own. The deep red, double-petaled blooms have been compared to small roses and they literally will hide the rich green foliage beneath, often right up until frost. Thick, dark green leaves form an upright mound about a foot tall and wide, making it a perfect addition to hanging baskets, container planters, borders, and even en masse. Morning sun with afternoon shade or all-day dappled shade will keep this begonia happiest and looking its best.
