It's all about the leaf with the Jurassic series of rex begonias, with irregular shapes, sizes, colors, and textures.
Available in store
CloseThe rough texture and distinctive silver margins within pointed, almost black leaves gives 'Jurassic Silver Point Begonia a wild, rather primitive look. Too tender to withstand Pacific NW weather other than in the summer, this rex begonia will grow indoors year-around. Place it in a well-lit room, mist it daily, water thoroughly only when the surface soil is dry, and you'll have a happy houseplant about a foot tall and wide. Straggly stems can be pinched back to keep the begonia compact and tidy. Indoor gardeners with pets should be aware that this houseplant is toxic to cats and dogs.
