Close'Parrot Paradise' ajuga forms a dense mat of foliage in shades of gold, orange, and red, with blue flower spikes in the spring and summer. Use this semi-evergreen specimen as a trailer in pots and hanging baskets or as an attractive filler along garden borders and retaining walls. Usually growing up to six inches tall, 'Parrot Paradise' can spread up to two feet wide, forming a carpet of dense foliage that often withstands our Pacific NW winters. Bugleweed can handle full shade as well as sunny spots, but prefers some protection during the hottest times of the day. As is true of most bugleweeds, this uniquely colored variety is easy to maintain and is not a favorite of deer or rabbits.
