This weigela will indeed bloom all summer long from late spring right up until fall freeze. Compact enough to grow in containers.
Available in store
CloseWeigelas are one of those old-fashioned flowering shrubs that are often forgotten about but are old reliables. 'All Summer Red' is a compact variety, coming up in the spring and producing a profusion of red tubular flowers that bees, hummingbirds and other pollinators love. Small enough for containers (not quite three feet tall and wide) and showy enough to plant out in borders, this one will look its best when given lots of sun, and will become drought-tolerant once established. Prune out older stems in late winter/early spring before new growth appears.
