Verbena is an indispensable addition to spring/summer hanging baskets, adding a distinct texture with its narrow, hairy leaves and its clusters of flowers. Lanai Candy Cane verbena is perky and bright, and a perfect companion to other sun-loving annuals such as petunias, calibrachoa and trailing greenery. Standing not quite a foot tall, this variety will spill over the edges of hanging baskets and container planters, or add color in borders and mass plantings.
