Finger Leaf Philodendron derives its common name from the long, finger-like leaves that tend to grow in a spiral.

CloseThe Finger Leaf philodendron may be mistaken for a schefflera, as its leaves and growth habit are similar to one, though the philodendron tends to be more compact in size, growing only two to four feet tall and about two feet wide. Technically a climber, this philodendron will benefit from a support of some kind (we have bendable moss covered poles that are perfect for the job!). Ample indirect light and a higher humidity will keep this Finger Leaf philodendron looking its best.
Footnote: the powers-that-be have recently reclassified this philodendron as Thaumatophyllum spruceanum, but you can ask for the Finger Leaf philodendron - much easier to remember and pronounce!
