African violets, step back and make way for your cousin, the Cape Primrose. 'Caitlin' produces gorgeous two-toned pink orchid-like blooms!
Available in store
CloseThis Cape Primrose has hairy, puckered, elongated leaves that do resemble that of a primrose but needs the warm temperatures of indoor gardens to survive, just as does its cousin, the African violet. Lots of indirect light and regular watering (when dry) will promote beautiful two-toned pink, orchid-like flowers. Growing to about a foot tall and wide at maturity, 'Caitlin' can hold its own by itself or paired with other house plants with similar needs.
