With its broad, soft looking green and creamy yellow leaves, Red Campion looks like it would die back in the winter, but surprise, this one is evergreen in the Pacific NW, providing a year-round spot of color in container planters, borders, and hanging baskets. The variegated leaves are arranged in a loose clump, growing up to 12 inches tall and about as wide. Bright pink flowers rise above the foliage starting in spring and continue into the summer. Red Campion thrives in any sunny spot with well-draining soil, bringing a fresh look to the garden.
