Though technically a perennial, it can withstand winter weather as long as it has good drainage. Once a "hen" flowers, it will die, but all its little "chicks" will fill in the gap and grow to be as beautiful as the mama. Drought tolerant once established, 'Bronze Pastel' thrives in container planters, rock gardens, and along borders, and is more than forgiving of missed watering.
