CloseNeither a moss nor a fern, Golden Clubmoss (aka Gold Spike Moss) adds contrasting color and texture to indoor planters. Place it at the edge of a pot or hanging basket and allow it to trail over the sides. Its feathery foliage stays low and fills in nicely, given adequate water and light, making it a perfect candidate for terrariums. Unlike many tropical houseplants, selaginella needs consistent water, and should be watered thoroughly when the surface soil is dry. It can be grown outdoors in the shade during the summer, but may perform best if grown indoors year-round.
