This low growing sedum struts its stuff in the fall when its leaves turn a deep red, and again in the summer when pink flower clusters pop out.

CloseRuby Mantle Stonecrop is aptly named, with small scalloped leaves turning from green tinged with red to full on deep red in the fall. Drought tolerant once established, this variety spreads up to two feet, and is a great choice for rock gardens, xeriscape ground cover, container planters, borders, and hanging baskets. Clusters of pink, star-like flowers in the summer make it all the more appealing, and bees and butterflies love it. Like most stonecrops, Ruby Mantle may get a bit tired looking in the winter, so don't hesitate to trim it back in the early spring.
