Lemon Ball Stonecrop is often mistaken for Sedum Angelina. Both have fine-needled foliage and perform well in hanging baskets, container planters and any sunny dry location in the garden. Lemon Ball is a bit more ambitious, spreading two feet or so, while Angelina is slightly more compact, around 12 - 18 inches. Placed side by side, Lemon Ball is a brighter yellow, more lemony if you will, and doesn't get that reddish tinge common to Angelina's fall and winter foliage. Lemon Ball Stonecrop attracts bees and butterflies in the summer with its yellow flower clusters, and can easily handle dry spells.
