A dwarf variety of schefflera, averaging three feet tall and about as wide if allowed to grow naturally, though tolerates pruning.
Available in store
CloseNicknamed Umbrella or Parasol Plant for its arrangement of leaves, this 'Mini' variety exhibits the same lush, shiny green foliage as its bigger relatives, and has the same growing needs. That is, a well-lighted room, temps no lower than 55 degrees, not too much water, and a good daily misting will keep this schefflera happy and healthy. If portable, schefflera can be moved outdoors during the summer to an area that receives filtered sun, but should be moved back indoors when the night time temps drop below 60 degrees. Schefflera may be pruned to maintain a neater shape, or to give it a narrower/taller profile. Dispose of clipping carefully, as the sap can be irritating and is mildly toxic if ingested by pets or humans.
