'Little Night' Wood Sage is a petite summer-blooming perennial with a big presence. Deep purple flower stalks bloom from late spring to fall.

CloseDecidedly smaller than its salvia cousins (Hot Lips and Black and Blue), 'Little Night' Wood Sage proves that good things can come in small packages. Barely a foot tall and a bit wider at maturity, this sage provides a pop of rich purple color from late spring into the fall. Hummingbirds and bees love it, deer not so much, and it becomes somewhat drought-tolerant once established in the ground. 'Little Night' salvia is an excellent choice for xeriscapes, woodland gardens, container planters, hanging baskets, borders, and mass plantings, returning reliably each year. Give it lots of sun and well-draining soil for best results. Cut flower stalks to enjoy inside; this will also help prolong the blooming season.
