Yet another perennial salvia to lure hummingbirds and bees to your garden. This one stays around a foot tall and wide.
Available in storeClose
Salvias grow well in the Pacific NW, and with the impressive array of sizes, foliar variations, plant hardiness, and forms and colors of flowers, one could easily have five or six different salvias growing in the garden, with no two looking alike. 'Mirage Deep Purple' Autumn Sage has deep purple, two-lipped tubular shaped flowers (similar to the flowers on Hot Lips salvia) that bloom almost continuously from late spring into the fall. Foliage is a smooth, soft green that grows into a compact mound about a foot tall and wide. Salvia prefer sunny locations, and does equally well when planted in the ground, in container planters, or hanging baskets. 'Mirage Deep Purple' salvia dies down in the winter but will make a repeat performance year after year.
