Salvias come in a variety of sizes, leaf textures, and flower shapes and colors, but few are as dramatic as Black and Blue salvias. Growing quickly to a robust three to four feet tall and about three feet wide, this perennial has a big presence in the summer garden with cobalt blue flowers emerging from black calyxes on black stems. Suitable for large containers or back of the border in the ground, 'Black and Blue' salvia loves the sun and hummingbirds and pollinators love it.
