Not really a moss in spite of its common name. Tolerates some foot traffic so does well between pavers or along walkways.

CloseScotch Moss is actually not a moss, and a good thing, too! That means it can grow in shady areas or areas with filtered sun, even morning sun with afternoon shade. Keeping below three inches tall, it can spread to 12 inches wide, forming a dense, bright golden carpet that sends up small, star-like white flowers in the spring. Better yet, it tolerates some foot traffic, so it's a great option for planting between pavers or along walkways. Scotch Moss is a great addition to fairy gardens or container planters, providing a nice pop of color and textural interest as well.
