Tradescantia albiflora 'Pistachio White'

The tradescantia family has always been a winner when it comes to indoor gardening, and in more recent years, we've had them transition to the outdoor summer shade garden with great success. 'Pistachio White' is a great one for brightening up the shade garden, trailing beautifully over the edges of hanging baskets and container planters. Too deep a shade and the variegation tends to revert to all green, so morning sun/afternoon shade, or all-day dappled sun works best. When the temps begin to drop, take cuttings of your 'Pistachio White' spiderwort and bring them indoors. They'll be quite happy during the colder months, but place them in a well-lit room (no direct sun) for the best variegation.
