Sempervivum SUPERSEMPS® 'Onyx'

Many gardeners have good intentions when first planting a container or hanging basket, but life intervenes and whoops - forgot to water the plants! Never fear, Supersemps® 'Onyx' (and a whole lot of other succulents) are here. Tolerant of skipped waterings, Hens and Chicks are very forgiving and almost do better with benign neglect rather than helicopter gardeners. Constantly wet soil will rot the roots, so water thoroughly, then leave them alone until the top inch or two of soil is dry. The dramatic dark foliage of 'Onyx' will contrast nicely with silvery or pale green hens and chicks, or the chartreuse or blue colors of sedums. Have fun mixing and matching 'Onyx' with other succulents for a low-maintenance hanging basket or container planter.
