Cape Fuchsias are a showy but tough perennial that thrives in the sun, goes dormant in the winter, and comes back strong in the spring. COLORBURST™ ‘Deep Red’ cape fuchsia's deep green leaves, burgundy flower stems, and deep red flowers, make it a visual delight in planters, borders, and even hanging baskets. Allegedly deer-resistant, Cape Fuchsias do attract hummingbirds and pollinators. Deadheading spent blooms will encourage reblooming, and cutting old stems back to about six inches in late winter will keep this plant tidy.
