Osteospermum 'Sunshine Beauty'

Generally known to bear daisy-like flowers, the osteospermum family includes some fun, surprising varieties. Case in point, 'Sunshine Beauty' does indeed bear daisy-like flowers, but the outer edges of the petals are a warm, wonderful orange that fade into yellow toward the dark brown eye. New blooms are even brighter in color, so you'll have a multi-hued mound of orange gracing the summer garden. African daisies do best in well-draining soil with lots of sun, so consider growing 'Sunshine Beauty' in container planters or hanging baskets. If your garden has the clay soil so common to the Portland Metro area, amend the soil first before planting this tender perennial along borders or in mass plantings.
