"Testarossa" is Italian for red head, as in the valve covers on the classic 12-cylinder Ferrari sports car (not humans!). This coral bells may become a classic as well, with year-round, large red leaves borne on short stems, creating a dense mound of color.

Red heucheras are a favorite here at The Garden Corner and there always seem to be new ones hitting the market. 'Testarossa' is a flashy variety with large leaves on short stems, creating a compact mound of year-round red. Perfect in hanging baskets and year-round container planters, this Coral Bells is equally stunning in mass plantings along garden borders or as "facer" plants for taller specimens. Although purportedly deer resistant, we believe heucheras may succumb to the munching mammals when other food sources are scarce, so they may be happier in hanging baskets!
