Fuchsia magellanica 'Sharpitor Aurea'

For some people, the one dealbreaker for fuchsias is that fact that they need to be replanted year after year. Not so for hardy fuchsias such as 'Sharpitor Aurea!' This variety is hardy down to 0 degrees, so you can plant it once and watch it come back year after year. Hummingbirds love the pink flowers, and the variegated foliage adds a pop of color as well. Two to three feet tall and wide at maturity, 'Sharpitor Aurea' does well in container planters and the middle of borders in the shade garden. Prune stems back in early spring down to viable leaf nodes.
