Bean Bush 'French Filet' Seed Pack

Bush beans are one of those deeply satisfying veggies to plant straight into the garden, once the soil warms up. Seeds are large enough to plant at the correct distance, no need to thin, and in the case of French Filet beans, are quite prolific. These slender short beans need only the briefest of cooking (saute or steam) and are wonderful in salads or as a side dish. When harvesting green beans, hold the stem with one hand, and the pod with the other hand to avoid pulling off branches, which will continue to produce.

When to Harvest: Snap beans are ready to pick when the pod "snaps" or breaks in half cleanly. This is when the seeds have just begun to form and the pods are several inches long (depending on the variety).
