Product Description
Often known as Lily of the Nile, Agapanthus 'Fireworks' is a bit smaller than some other varieties and has delightful bi-colored flowers in mid- to late summer. Large clusters of purple-throated (okay, maybe purple-necked), white petaled flowers make it a favorite of bees, hummingbirds, and other pollinators, and is an excellent cut flower. The broad, strap-like green leaves are tidy enough to plant along borders, forming mounds less than two feet tall and wide, and are drought-tolerant once established. Semi-evergreen in the maritime Pacific NW, the foliage will often survive the winter, but can be cut back in late winter to clear the way for fresh new foliage in the spring.
