At The Garden Corner, we get to see first hand how plants fare in the colder, darker days of winter and for many shade plants, that means disappearing until spring. The Korean Rock Fern is a noticeable exception to that, looking just as fresh and lively in mid-winter as it does in the warmer days of spring and summer. That said, it can get a bit weary looking in prolonged cold or poorly draining soil. A fairly low-growing evergreen fern, Korean Rock Fern can be used in borders or intermingled with shade perennials, in the ground or in containers, so that you'll have a bit of year-round greenery.
