The pink and white variegation in the uber-small leaves of the Variegated Artillery Plant is so gorgeous, it's easy to mistake the foliage for its flowers, which rarely bloom indoors and are quite inconspicuous. As with most pileas, this variety appreciates a higher humidity and a well-lighted room. If the variegation starts to fade, the plant most likely needs a brighter environment. Broader than it is tall, the Variegated Artillery Plant is made for terrariums and does well with other house plants. It's also pet-friendly, although one chomp from Fido will probably be the death knell for this dainty specimen.
