Close'Spring Gold Colorado Spruce' is full of surprises. Looking at a young version of this evergreen conifer, one would never suspect that it will one day be upright, approaching eight to ten feet tall. The other surprise comes in the spring when new growth appears as a flush of creamy white needles, adding a startling contrast to the older blue foliage. Its coloring will gradually match the blue foliage as the season progresses. Averaging six to eight inches of annual growth, 'Spring Gold Colorado Spruce' will outgrow its irregular, wider than tall profile as it ages.
