'Emerald Blue' Creeping Phlox is a natural for rock and alpine gardens, and will seem to flow over retaining walls. Lavender blue flowers blanket this low-growing evergreen in spring into summer, bringing out butterflies and other pollinators. When not in bloom, Creeping Phlox forms a low mat of green needle-like foliage that is more heat tolerant than other varieties of phlox, while also bearing up under Pacific NW winters. The flowers and fine foliage are an attractive addition to hanging baskets and container planters, adding textural interest along with fresh color.
