Philodendron 'Birkin' is a relatively new hybrid with showy variegated leaves and an upright profile that can eventually reach 12 to 36 inches tall. Pin stripes become even more distinctive as the plant matures. As a cultivar of Philodendron Rojo Congo, don't be surprised if some leaves emerge a deep red, then darken to solid green.  While 'Birkin' doesn't like direct sunlight, it grows best in a well-lit room, and variegation is most pronounced in a brighter environment. This variety is considered non-vining, and pairs well with other houseplants in a mixed planter.
