Large lavender blue, trumpet-shaped flowers will cascade down stems long enough to hide the baskets they're growing in.

CloseYes, we agree, 'Surfinia Heavenly Blue' petunias are not really blue, but more purple, and what a striking purple it is. We've been using this variety in our passion baskets for years with consistent, pleasing results. Slightly mounding foliage trails over the edges of container planters and hanging baskets, covered with large flowers the whole way down. At the height of summer, 'Surfinia Heavenly Blue' petunias have literally reached the ground from pots we have hanging from 6-foot tall stands. If the plants get too long, trimming the branches back will encourage even more new growth from the top. Give this petunia plenty of sun, water and fertilize regularly, and you'll be able to enjoy these not-really-blue flowers right up until freeze.
