This Virginia creeper grows quickly to 20 feet and can easily keep going to over 35 feet tall, spreading five to 10 feet wide. The "paint-splatter" variegation is absolutely stunning!

Close'Star Showers' Virginia creeper is an eye-catching climbing vine that grows quickly to 20 and more feet tall, adhering to surfaces with sucker disks found at the ends of the tendrils. The paint-splatter variegation is absolutely stunning, adding visual interest to walls, arbors, trellises, and other vertical supports. Though deciduous, 'Star Showers' can serve as a privacy screen from spring until the fall when the leaves take on pink tones before dropping. As the common name suggests, this specimen may also creep along the ground, covering hillsides and providing erosion control. The flowers on 'Star Showers' are inconspicuous, as are the black berries that appear afterwards, usually covered by the dense foliage (but the birds can find them!).
One caveat - once attached, the vines are almost impossible to remove from wood and/or painted surfaces without marring the surfaces, so it's best to keep it in check with thoughtful placement and periodic pruning.
