Hop-like flowers last and last from summer into fall on this airy, fragrant ornamental perennial oregano - perfect for hanging baskets!
Available in store
CloseFor all the varieties of edible oregano available for the herb garden, none are as beautiful as Ornamental Oregano, or Kent Beauty Oregano. Silvery blue-green, rounded leaves almost disappear under cascades of hop-like flowers that take on pink, cream, and green tones from summer into the fall. Mounding to less than a foot tall, Kent Beauty Oregano drapes beautifully over the edges of container planters, hanging baskets, and retaining walls. We can only describe the overall effect as soft and somewhat delicate looking, though the plant itself handles sun like a champ and in the ground, will become drought-tolerant once established. Kent Beauty Oregano will die down in fall freezes but will return in full glory in the spring.
