Close'Kirigami' oregano is a relatively new variety of ornamental oregano, and is a welcome alternative to 'Kent Beauty.' Similar in growth habits, 'Kirigami' oregano is a mounding perennial, about 10 inches tall and up to 14 inches wide. The pinkish hop-like flowers deepen to more purple hues with sunny days and cool night, and make excellent dried flowers. Place in hanging baskets or container planters so it can spill gracefully over the edges. 'Kirigami' oregano will strut its stuff all summer long, then will die back in the winter months, to return in the spring, making it a great choice for year-round baskets.
