Who knew a grass could flow? Mexican Feather Grass does exactly that, shifting gracefully in the slightest breeze, adding movement and textural interest to any sunny summer garden. This grass is well-suited to container gardening, as it naturalizes a bit too readily if situated in favorable conditions. About a foot tall and almost twice as wide at maturity, Mexican Feather Grass is an excellent "filler" for summer hanging baskets and container planters, adding a lush green right up until the fall, when the thin blades of grass fade to a light tan. These can be trimmed back in late winter before new growth emerges in the spring.
