CloseNandina 'Burgundy Wine' is a compact evergreen that is a standout for year-round color. Leaves are slender and airy (thus the common name of Heavenly Bamboo), emerging as a dark burgundy, then turning green. Small white flowers emerge in the spring, and fall brings on deep burgundy red foliage. Ample sun creates the deepest foliage colors, though 'Burgundy Wine' will handle partial sun, and is well suited to container gardens.
