CloseThe crocodile-like pattern on the wide strappy, bright green leaves of this fern totally explains the common name of Crocodile Fern. Native to Malaysia, this specimen needs higher humidity, lots of indirect light, and well-draining soil in order to thrive. Position it away from air vents and consider using a humidifier in the winter when the heat kicks on. Indoors, the Crocodile Fern can grow 12 to 24 inches tall and wide, and in spite of its larger size, is an excellent candidate for terrariums or planted in combination with other indoor plants with similar needs.
