Adorable nemesia-like flowers will just about cover the fine foliage once this plant gets going. Let it trail from a basket or cover the ground.

CloseWe love bright yellow flowers for the summer garden, and Gold Dust Mecardonia produces masses of fingernail sized blooms from late spring right up to fall freeze. As tiny as these nemesia-like blooms are, they add the perfect accent of yellow and fine green foliage, either trailing over the edge of container planters or hanging baskets, or covering the ground in a sunny border. Gold Dust is a low grower - only two to five inches tall - but spreads up to 20 inches, so if used as a summer time ground cover, space them accordingly. The stems will root where they touch the soil, making a solid mat. Give mecardonia lots of sun, adequate water, and periodic fertilizing for long-lasting color.
